Cover crop production field day announced
Goodhue Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is holding a Cover Crop Production Field Day from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Ed and Jane McNamara Farm, 37299 171 Avenue, Goodhue. It will be held rain or shine.
Topics will include:
• Local producer panel discussion on soybeans into standing cover
• Cover crop crimping
• Planting 60-inch rows for inter-seeding cover crops
• Inter-seeding cover crop demonstration
• Managing manure with cover crop demonstration
