DNR: Get permission to retrieve game from private property

Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is reminding hunters to obtain permission to retrieve game from nearby properties after an incident where a hunter was unable to retrieve a deer that crossed from public to private property after being shot.

According to the DNR, a conservation officer “responded to a situation in which a hunter shot a buck on state land, and it ran onto adjacent private property. The landowner would not allow the hunter to retrieve the buck.
