Doe Days is upon us
Doe Days, “a weekend full of fun and specials,” takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 5, 6 and 7 in Lake City.
Jil Garry of Treats and Treasures, one of the participating businesses, said Doe Days began many years ago as a shopping event for women whose husbands were presumed to be out hunting “even though a lot of women go deer hunting.”
“It’s a shopping opportunity and it’s also an effort to get people into our shops before the holiday madness begins, so they can see what’s available in the local shops,” she said.
