Dreaming against time

On March 1, Sandy Anderson learned that she had thyroid cancer, and the prognosis wasn’t good.

It was right before spring break for her daughter, Lynne Peterson, a fourth grade teacher living in Rosemount. Through a school nurse she learned about the Dream Foundation, which bills itself as the only organization dedicated to fulfilling the wishes of terminally ill adults.

“She said: ‘You have to apply,’” Peterson said.

In mid-April they did.
