Eagle Center director announces retirement

National Eagle Center Executive Director Rolf Thompson has advised the center’s board of directors that he will retire from the position on Jan 1.

Thompson, who will turn 67 this year, has led the Wabasha education and tourism destination for seven years.

“For the last four years he has spearheaded a major expansion plan that includes a world-class museum, additions to its education and interpretive center and the revitalization of Wabasha’s riverfront,” the center said in a news release.
