Education foundation gala raises more than $37,000 for local public schools

The Lake City Education Foundation (LCEF) reported a successful evening at its eighth annual fundraising gala, held Saturday, Nov. 15.
The event brought together community members, educators, and supporters, raising more than $37,000 to benefit students and teachers in Minnesota ISD 813, the foundation said in a news release.
Emily Hawryluk, this year’s president of the LCEF, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support.
