Facebook post leads to a month of fun

A Facebook post wishing for more family-friendly activities in Lake City kicked off a series of fortunate events for people who like autumn celebrations.

The post struck a chord, and Michelle Larson, who was then executive director of the Lake City Chamber of Commerce, reached out to some of the people commenting to see if they’d be willing to serve on a committee to organize a new multi-week fall festival similar to the one in Wabasha, according to Erica Hoops, one of the committee members.
