Families of recently deceased veterans encouraged to notify Memorial Day Program organizers

The annual Lake City Memorial Day program will be held at Lincoln High School at 10 a.m. on Memorial Day, May 26.

As in the past, the program will honor Lake City area veterans who have died since last Memorial Day. The names are secured from Lake City funeral homes and the local VFW and American Legion Posts, but program director Bruce Carlstrom said that “Each year, there are families of deceased veterans who may not have used a local funeral home or their deceased veteran may not have been a member of a local veterans’ organizations.”
