Farm Families get U recognition

On Thursday, Aug. 6, farm families will be recognized by the University of Minnesota as a “2015 Farm Family” at an annual ceremony during Farmfest near Redwood Falls, Minn.
From Wabasha County, the Warthesen’s will be recognized.
Jack and Marge’s farming operation began in the 1970’s when five acres were purchased from Jack’s parents. Over the years the farm grew and now the Warthesen farm consists of 270 tillable acres, 120 acres of pasture and 50 acres of woodlands.
