Feb. 6 Schneider memorial fund raiser will be biggest yet

The biggest fund-raiser yet for a planned memorial to fallen Lake City Police Officer Shawn Schneider will be Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Railhouse Grill in Lake City. It’s part of the city’s annual Winterfest celebration.
Schneider was shot Dec. 19, 2011, while helping a victim of domestic violence to safety. He died as a result of the wounds on Dec. 30 of that year.
