First Lutheran Church will celebrate Midsommar with labyrinth walk

In August 2021, Lake City First Lutheran Church (FLC) members spent a weekend building a labyrinth on the church grounds.

A labyrinth is a spiral walking path that leads to the center and back out to the perimeter. It is a single meandering path, unlike a maze which have many paths and dead ends.

Labyrinths have been used since ancient times in many cultures and religions. In contemporary time, labyrinths provide an opportunity for personal reflection, spiritual practice and a walking meditation (quieting the mind and being at peace).
