Fishing contest adapts to thinner ice

Ice conditions have changed the plans for this weekend’s Frontenac Sportsman’s Club ice fishing contest on Feb. 8.

The club is recommending no vehicles on the ice other than four-wheelers and side-by-sides.

The ice fishing contest will still be held on Frontenac Pond. So will the ice auger contest, but many of the other activities, food, games, raffles, and drawings will move to the Frontenac Community Center, 30301 Territorial Road.
