Five for Food surpasses $50,000 goal

Five for Food, an initiative of the Greater Lake City Community Foundation for the Lake City Food Shelf, exceeded the $50,000 goal for 2024 with a record total of $50,661 raised, according to a news release.
The total raised last year was $45,611. Due to the increased food shelf use and increased cost of food and expenses, the goal for 2024 was increased to 50,000.
