Five for Food under way with goal to raise $50,000 for food shelf
Five for Food, an initiative of the Greater Lake City Community Foundation for the Lake City Food Shelf, begins its 10th year on February 15. The drive will end on March 31.
Thirty-two sponsors have stepped forward with contributions from $500 to $2,000 for a total of over $25,000. Sponsors’ funds are pooled to match dollar for dollar contributions $5 and greater up the total of the sponsor’s pool. The goal for 2025 is $50,000. Last year the total raised was $51,936.
