Five for Food underway with $50,000 goal
Five for Food, an initiative of the Greater Lake City Community Foundation for the Lake City Food Shelf, begins its ninth year on Feb. 15.
The drive will end on March 31st. A record number of 35 sponsors have stepped forward with contributions from $500 to $1,500 for a total of $23,200. The sponsors’ funds are pooled to match dollar for dollar contributions $5 and greater up the total of the sponsor’s pool. The goal for 2024 is $50,000. Last year the total raised was $45,600.
