Lake City’s tallest building once again has some patriotic flair.
On Tuesday, members of the Lake City American Legion and VFW color guard were on hand to help Ardent Mills staff raise a six-by-nine-foot American flag up a newly-installed 25-foot flag pole on top of the 200-foot mill tower.
It’s not the first time a flag has flown on the building, but it’s been a while, according to Bobby Blaser of Ardent Mills.
He said the building had a flag pole when it was constructed in the 1940s. It’s unclear when it was removed.
