Flag retirement ceremony set for Flag Day

On June 14, two Lake City veterans groups will mark Flag Day with a cermony to retire damaged, faded or otherwise unservicable American flags.

The Lake City Louis McCahill Legion Post 110 and the Bernard Flesche VFW Post 8729 have announced a flag retirement and dignified disposal of unserviceable U.S. flags to be held at the Lake City VFW Post 8729, 115 North Franklin St., at 5 p.m. in the patio area on Wednesday, June 14.

All citizens are also invited to attend and observe this ceremony.
