Flags of Valor canceled for 2020

The Lake City American Legion Post 110 and Legion Auxiliary wish to inform the community that due to the Highway 61 reconstruction project the Flags Of Valor display will be cancelled for the weekend of Water Ski Days the end of June.
In addition, concerns of social distancing will make it difficult to assemble and place the flags in a different location, the groups said in a news release.
“The 700 flag display along Lake Pepin has been a tremendous demonstration of patriotism in the past four years,” they said. “ We look forward to resuming this tradition in 2021.
“We encourage everyone to display their hearts and flags as an inspiration to all this summer that we can get through this together!”
