Food shelf adds hours to keep up with growing demand

The Lake City Food Shelf has announced that it will be open an additional Saturday morning each month.
Executive Director Carole Helgerson said the change is due to increasing demand for food shelf services.
The food shelf is open Tuesdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Thursdays, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and the first, second, and fourth Saturdays of the month from 9 am. to 11 a.m.
