Food shelf faces volunteer shortage

The Lake City Food Shelf says it is “in critical need of new volunteers” who can make a monthly commitment to at least three shifts of two hours and 15 minutes each.

The Food Shelf is open three days a week, Tuesday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and the second and fourth Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Other volunteer work includes picking up food donations in Lake City and Red Wing.
