Former game warden donates decoys to Wabasha County Historical Society

“I grew up in Reads Landing” is a statement that is frequently heard by volunteers at Wabasha County Historical Reads Landing School Museum. Richard Kruger was a visitor who grew up in Reads Landing, now living in Mankato, Minn. He originally was a Game Warden and later worked at the Conservation Office. He presented two duck decoys made by George Stienberg of Kellogg, MN. The decoys were used in the Crow Fort Dredge in the Kellogg Bottoms.
