Former student recalls ringing the Reads Landing School bell as child

“The rope used to raise kids off the floor when they rang the school bell,” said John Burrechler, Wabasha, former student at the Reads Landing School.

He presented a photo of students from the 1951-1952 school year for display at the school, which is now the Wabasha County Historical Society museum. Mrs. Ostrom was the teacher and he identified many of the students. He also brought his report card. (He had good grades).
