Free daily check-ins offered for everyone through Tele-Care

Tele-care is a free service for people who live alone and would feel more secure checking in daily for a short conversation with a Mayo Clinic Health System volunteer. Everyone qualifies for Tele-care, even if the person subscribes to Lifeline. A health care provider referral in not required to subscribe.
Each morning, including weekends and holidays, the subscriber calls the Tele-care phone number between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. to report that they are okay. Members of the Auxiliary at Mayo Clinic Health System in Lake City answer the Tele-care calls.
