Free exercise classes offered for older adults

Residents in the Lake City area are invited to participate in two free exercise programs geared toward older adults.

Both programs offer exercises intended to build strength and balance to decrease the risk of falling.

The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program (AFEP) includes variety of range-of-motion and endurance building exercises, flexibility improving and relaxation techniques utilizing hand weights and stretch bands.

AFEP is held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in Lake Pepin Plaza, 221 North Franklin Street.
