Fresh Market owner: Name change brings consistency, simplifies marketing

The name change from Fiesta Foods to Lake City Fresh Market has led to speculation about a change in ownership at the long-time grocery store in Lake City.

Phil Nyberg, the owner of Fiesta Foods and now Lake City Fresh Market, said the new name is intended to allow the store to operate better in conjunction with the Durand (Wis.) Fresh Market, which he acquired three years ago.

“It was Fiesta Foods for 31 years,” Nyberg said. “It was a good name. Now we’re trying to do more things as a group.”
