Garden provides scenery for people, a respite for endangered species

A Lake City Boy Scout has created a sanctuary at Hok-Si-La Park for species in decline.

Timothy Petersen created the 550 square foot garden at the entrance of Hok-Si-La Park as an Eagle Scout project.

“The purpose was to both add some nice scenery to the entrance of the park and assist in the survival of some species which are endangered,” he said.
