Gardiner’s latest book chronicles area bridges

Minnesota is often called the Land of 10,000 Lakes, but it could also be called the Land of 20,000 Bridges, according to local author Steve Gardiner, who explores the history of many of the bridges that span the Mississippi River and its extensive tributaries, and includes 142 photos of the selected bridges in his most recent book “Historic Bridges in Southeast Minnesota” published by The History Press.
