'Go Red for Women' day is Feb. 3

Heart disease remains the number one killer of women in the United States, according to the American Heart Association. Studies show that one in three women die from heart disease.

“Being good to your heart means taking steps to prevent heart disease,” says Tyler Peterson, M.D., a cardiologist at Mayo Clinic Health System.  “This includes getting regular exercise, eating healthy foods and monitoring your cholesterol and blood pressure numbers.”
