Grant allows Bluff View students to compete in Youth Coding League

Fifth and sixth grade students at Bluff View Elementary School competed alone and in small groups against students from around the country in the Youth Coding League.

Each week during the regular season, they watch videos to learn computer programming techiniques, said Diane Spence, the team’s coach. Then they incorporate those techniques into a project that’s graded by independent programmers. Those programmers provide feedback to the competitors about what they did well and where they can improve.
