Grocery shoppers can round up their total to support education foundation
Throughout the month of March, shoppers at Fiesta Foods can round up their grocery bill to support the Lake City Education Foundation.
The suggested donation is whatever it takes to round the total up to the nearest dollar, but contributions can be in any amount.
Foundation board President Mary Gastner and Amy Alkire were two of about a half-dozen board members at the store as it opened March 1, hanging signs announcing the campaign and distributing buttons for cashiers to wear.
“We’re really excited,” Gastner said.
