Group hikes, then hits the s'mores

Twelve Walking Lake Pepin participants met out at Hok-Si-La Park last Thursday for a hike through the park, a campfire with s’mores and a tour of the new camping cabins by park manager Joanne Klees.  
Three cabins have been built at the park this past year with the cooperative planning and funding of the Casey T. O’Neil Foundation and the City of Lake City.  The cabins meet Americans with Disability Act specifications, sleep six, have heat and air conditioning and a fire ring for cooking outside.
