Halloween: It's not just for kids anymore

Lake City’s first Halloween Bash brought out dozens of giggling goblins last weekend, but it turns out some of them were going to come out anyway.

The bash, held Friday night at the Lake City Sportsman’s Club, drew 100 people, most of them in costume, about what organizers had hoped for the initial event.

The bash was a fund-raiser for the Lake City Interpretive Center. Talk is already under way about an expanded bash next year.

Four victims of the sunken luxury ship Titanic won the $200 for the best costumed group.
