On Aug. 9, Rich Noll, 74, of Waterford, Wis., was nearing the end of a round of golf in Lake City when his heart stopped.
John Drinkall, a retired firefighter and paramedic who was golfing with Noll, administered CPR while Noll’s wife Linda called 911.
Drinkall continued with CPR for 10 minutes, and probably longer, before Lake City Police and Lake City Ambulance personnel arrived on the scene, Lake City Ambulance Director Sara Rybarczyk said.
