Heroes memorial seeks donations
The concrete is poured, the walls are up, the statues are in place, but the Hometown Heroes Memorial at the corner of Highway 61 and Highway 60 in Zumbro Falls is missing something—many things, really—and the groups behind it are seeking donations to help finish and then maintain the memorial.
The memorial is the result of years of work by the Zumbro Falls Fire Department and Zumbro Falls VFW to honor their members, past and present. It’s on flood buyout land that the City of Zumbro Falls allowed to be used for the purpose.
