High school students, staff mark Autism Awareness Month

April is Autism Awareness Month, Lincoln High School staff and students participated in activites to help create awareness.

Autism spectrum disorder is a group of developmental disorders that can impact how a person communicates, interacts, behaves, and learns. About one in 59 children in the United States has been diagnosed with a disorder on the autism spectrum, according to the Centers for Disease Control. It is about four times more common among boys than among girls.
