History and kayaking event is July 12

Tickets still remain for a kayak excursion to explore Lake Pepin and learn a little history with the Red Wing Environmental Learning Center (ELC) and the Goodhue County Historical Society.

On Wednesday, July 12, at 2 p.m., the group will meet at the Red Wing Environmental Learning Center for a lightning session on how explorers and Native Americans used Lake Pepin and the surrounding area.

Then, everyone will travel to Lake Pepin and actually kayak through the area.
