History researchers make unexpected discovery
A trio of Lake City men expected to find some history at the Minnesota History Center on Jan. 30.
Ben Threinen, Don Schwartz and Bill Stiene visited the center to look for photos of Ralph Samuelson for Threinen’s upcoming film about the water skiing pioneer.
After visiting the center’s Gale Family Library they viewed some of the exhibits on display.
There, in a glass case in an exhibit about the year 1968, was the Selective Service card of one of Schwartz and Steine’s Lincoln High School classmates, Jon Lyman Walstrom.
