History walk is July 7

Last week’s Walking Lake Pepin’s group walk included a tour of the community garden and history of the garden’s success by Jim Schreck. There are now 64 plots in the garden and hoping for more in the coming years.
As the group walked along Wabasha County Rd. 5 and then into a Jewel subdivision, Jim  gave an interesting history of the Jewell Nursery where he worked in his youth.
