Huettl repeats as Lake City Invite champ
At some points on Sunday afternoon, Thomas Huettl was so focused, he wasn’t even sure where he stood.
“I did some bad math, [and] thought it was a little closer than it was.”
Yet, there was no mistaking his whereabouts at the conclusion of one of the wildest closing nines in tournament history; atop the leaderboard for the second consecutive year.
Huettl finished with a one over par 178 to outlast newcomer Owen Covey by two shots to win the 45th Lake City Invitational at Lake City Golf Club on Sunday, July 30.
