Humane Society holds fundraiser

Hiawatha Animal Humane Society (HAHS) raised $585 at its fundraiser event on Oct. 16 at Bark, LLC in Lake City.
Contributing to the total were the race ($25 per entrant), pet look-alike contest ($15 per entrant), microchipping ($25 per animal), nail trimming (freewill donation), and general donations.
HAHS volunteer Julie Gaitonde constructed the Dog Kissing Booth, a new, popular feature this year.
