Iconic sitcom character is the focus of Saturday’s Girls Day Out
Lake City’s annual Girls Day Out event is Saturday, April 26, and this year it features Lake City’s first Mrs. Roper Romp.
For the uninitiated, Mrs. Roper refers to the character Helen Roper from the comedy “Three’s Company” and the spinoff “The Ropers” portrayed by the actress Audra Lindley.
Tess Stone of Stone’s Famous Popcorn Co. is one of the Lake City event’s organizers.
According to Stone, Mrs. Roper Romps originated in New Orleans in 2013 and have since spread across the country.
