Jewel golf event raises over $4,200 for HOPE Coalition

The Jewel Golf Club in Lake City hosted a 9-1-1 Golf Event on Oct. 18 to thank first responders for their service, commemorate October as Domestic Violence Awareness month, and raise funds for HOPE Coalition’s Outreach Office in Wabasha County. A total of $4,229.55 was raised.

The idea of a golf tournament specifically designed to thank all first responders for their work and dedication to the public was the brainchild of Melissa Helberg, an employee of the Jewel Golf Club.

“First responders are always there for us at the scene of a trauma or tragic event”, says Helberg.
