Kendal Mae 5K is April 27 in Minneapolis (or wherever participants happen to be)

The second annual Kendal Mae 5K, a family fun run named after a Lake City child who died from acute myeloid leukemia (AML), will be held Saturday, April 27.

The location is flexible.

The main event is at the Lake Nokomis Community Center at 2401 E. Minnehaha Parkway in Minneapolis, but organizers are also promoting a virtual option where people register and run anywhere that day.

Proceeds go directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and are tax deductible.
