Kids get tour at dairy camp

Despite the hot weather, campers scampered from station to station learning about dairy cows, beef cows and pigs at a dairy day camp on the Burfeind Dairy Farm near Goodhue.  The camp, which was originally scheduled to be held in June, was held in July.  It was sponsored by Minnesota Farmers Union (MFU).
Divided into small groups, campers did a round robin, visiting several stations.  In a trip to the milking parlor, campers watched cows being milked and learned about things like, how much milk they give, how long it takes to milk one cow and how they come into the parlor.
