Kiwanis Club hears about business helping people with disabilities live in family settings
Denise Vanessa Berg told the Lake City Kiwanis Club about her new business, Life Sharing, that will begin as soon as her state license is issued.
Denise, a former school teacher, worked for Lutheran Social Services for 18 years but with changes in state law sees a better path for a fulfilling life for disabled adults who have been living in group homes.
Families can receive great personal satisfaction and substantial government financial support for opening their home to qualifying handicapped adults that wish to live in a family setting.
