Growing up, you find out pretty quickly that some birthdays tend to be special. Turning 18 or 21, for example, is a pretty big deal for those who live in the US. Nice round numbers like 30, 40, and 50 are also recognized as significant milestones. But very few have the ability to say they are celebrating their 100th birthday, which just maybe has to be one of the coolest ages you can be.
