Lake City ice fishing contest plows ahead on Saturday

There’s plenty of ice on Lake Pepin for Saturday’s Lake City Sportsman’s Club Ice Fishing Contest. Unfortunately it, like virtually everything else in the area, is covered by a deep layer of snow.
“It’ll be quite an effort this week of shoveling and plowing,” said Amy Brinkman of the Sportsman’s Club, one of the estimated 90 volunteers helping with the event.
