Lake City Sportsman’s Club prepares for Saturday’s ice fishing contest

The Lake City Sportsman’s Club said it will have 80 volunteers working to make its annual ice fishing contest and other fundraising events Saturday, Feb. 18, a success.
The weather has been warm lately, but the club reported 16 inches of ice in the contest location as of Feb. 13.
“We will continue to monitor the ice this week leading up to the contest and make decisions accordingly. Check back for more updates later this week,” the club wrote on its facebook page.
