Lake Pepin and Lake City Marina to adorn Sun Country plane

Sun Country Airlines has announced that each airplane in its fleet will be named after a Minnesota lake and will feature custom lake-themed art. Lake Pepin is among the lakes chosen for what is called the “Hometown Lakes Project.”

Lake City Mayor Mark Nichols was among a local delegation to attend an unveiling Tuesday at Sun Country’s hangar at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, where he accepted a print of Lake Pepin art that will eventually appear in a Sun Country plane.
