Lake Pepin Pearl Button Co. under new ownership

The Lake Pepin Pearl Button Co. in Lake City has a trio of new owners.

Angie and Rick Stewart of Red Wing and their daughter Katrina Stewart purchased the building and business recently.

Built in 1866, the building is the oldest commercial building in Lake City, according to John Hutchinson, a member of the former ownership group.

After roughly seven decades as a boarded up warehouse, new owners completely remodeled the building and opened Lake Pepin Pearl Button Co. in 2010.
